Working with teenagers (12 – 18) – as a teacher and school Guidance Counsellor, I am aware of the extra challenges that school brings to on-going adolescence issues. I can support you in coping with these challenges, including friendships, family dynamics, as well as managing school and exam situations.
My approach is integrative in its nature and focused on the Here and Now issues, with a holistic and humanistic approach. I draw tools and techniques from different theories and approaches (Reality Therapy, Gestalt, CBT). I also add to my approach my experience and interest in sports, Psychology, Philosophy and Tai Chi. These have been very worthwhile in promoting and improving wellbeing and self-care, leading to better mental health.
As a qualified therapist, I always aim to guarantee a warm, personal, non-judgmental and supporting approach to the client’s personal needs. I am there for you and I listen to your story. I consider myself as an honoured “Fellow Traveller” (Yalom), accompanying you throughout your therapy journey and beyond.
My passion to support the client as a unique individual also comes from my personal background: I have volunteered in many settings with teens and adults, as a passionate lifelong learner I have expanded my qualifications across various areas of the Humanities and Social Science, and my work with adults and teenagers.
