How does it work?

Simply contact us through the website or by phone. Then we can arrange a day and time that suits you.

Availablity

We see cleints Monday - Sunday and try our best to accommodate your schedule. Not all therapists have the same schedule, but the days they work ate listed in their profiles.

Our Clinic

Our clinic is run by Ian Croft and Wiktoria Fraczek. All therapists are qualified and experienced counsellors, who want to make therapy accessible and as approachable as possible.

Parking

There is free parking outside of the clinic, but it is limited to a few spaces. We are just a minute walk from the Omni Shopping centre, so there is always ample parking there. If parking in the underground parking, please check tesco closing times to avoid your car being locked in for the night.

Bus

There is a bus stop right across from our clinic, the 41, 33, or 16 bus routes will bring you here from dublin city centre.

Insurance Coverage

Please be advised that it is the client's responsibility to verify coverage with their insurance provider regarding the inclusion of therapy services and whether the therapist is covered under their plan. We recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to confirm coverage details prior to scheduling an appointment.

Currently, most of our therapists are either:

Pre-accredited with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), or

Accredited with the Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (APCP).

While our therapists are highly trained and qualified, the accreditation status may impact your ability to claim reimbursement through your health insurance.

Why Can’t We Provide Receipts for Insurance?

Many health insurance providers in Ireland only cover sessions with fully accredited therapists, often requiring accreditation specifically with bodies like the IACP or the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Since many of our therapists are in the pre-accreditation phase with the IACP or are accredited with the APCP, they may not meet the criteria set by some insurers.

As a result, we are unable to provide receipts that would be eligible for insurance reimbursement at this time. We understand this may be disappointing and are actively working towards expanding our accreditation status to meet more insurance providers' requirements.

What Does This Mean for You?

Out-of-Pocket Payment: You can still access therapy with our skilled professionals, but sessions will need to be paid for privately.

No Reimbursement for Now: Unfortunately, until our accreditation status aligns with your insurer’s requirements, you won’t be able to claim back the costs of your sessions.

We are dedicated to providing accessible mental health support and are exploring pathways to meet insurance requirements in the future. If you have specific questions about your insurance policy, we recommend contacting your provider directly to understand their coverage criteria.

Mobility Access

Unfortunately, we are located on the first floor, which means that you have to walk up a flight of stairs to enter any of the counselling rooms. Those who cannot walk up the stairs, please feel free to reach out to us for an online appointment.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Prices

Each therapist sets their own price, which will be discussed with yourself and your chosen therapist. Generally, the price ranges from 50e-80e, and we have at least two low cost students, who are still in training, which costs 30e.

Why therapy costs as much as it does

Many people wonder why therapy costs so much, or ask about discounts and reduced rates. To clarify, therapy fees reflect the many expenses that come with maintaining a professional and ethical practice.

Therapists must cover costs such as professional insurance, memberships in regulatory bodies, ongoing training and development, supervision, professional online platforms, website fees, accounting fees, etc.

In addition, there are standard operational expenses, including rent/ room fees, commercial rates, gas and electricity, WiFi, utilities, and maintenance.

Most therapists also dedicate hundreds of hours to voluntary (free) work during their training and qualification, as many therapist in training don't take any payment for their work.  And while they do that, it costs an average of 25,000e to get qualified as a therapist,  as well as an additional 8,000e for mandatory supervision and personal Therapy while in training.

Working as a therapist is someones profession, and like any other job, therapists need to earn a living. For this reason, sessions typically need to be paid for and cancellation fees apply.

If free or low-cost counselling is more suitable for your circumstances, there are organisations that provide services through volunteers, and therapists are often happy to guide you toward those resources.
